First Look: 1:18 Toyota GR Supra Gen3 Supercar Prototype Revealed & Bathurst Reacts!

Authentic Collectables are excited to reveal the first hand-sample prototype of our upcoming 1:18 Scale Toyota GR Supra Gen3 Supercar model, marking a significant milestone in the development of this completely new addition to our Supercars range.
Scheduled to be produced in high-detail die-cast with opening parts, including the bonnet and both doors, this prototype is the first physical representation of the extensive development work undertaken on the model so far.

Following months of work developing and refining complex 3D modelling data, our R&D team now has its first tactile sample to inspect. Over the coming weeks, every aspect of the prototype will be reviewed, photographed and documented, with detailed feedback provided to our factory before the model progresses to the tooling stage.
This is a critical part of the process. Our aim is to replicate the Toyota GR Supra Gen3 Supercar as accurately as possible within the parameters of scale-model production, and this physical prototype allows our team to assess details that simply can’t be fully evaluated through digital modelling alone.
Once the hand sample is approved and tooling is completed, the next major milestone will be our first raw die-cast alloy sample. This will undergo another thorough inspection before development progresses into decoration sampling and further refinement over the months that follow.
Taking a completely new Supercar from the race track and turning it into a highly detailed collector model is a long and significant development process, but we’re excited to finally give collectors a first look at the Supra taking physical form.
And what better place to show it off than Bathurst.

Authentic Collectables Owner and Director William Hall has the prototype with him at the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000, where he took it on a tour through the Supercars paddock to give teams, drivers, VIPs and fans an early look. Our first specific Walkinshaw TWG Racing and Brad Jones Racing Toyota GR Supra releases will be officially announced once development has progressed further. When those announcements go live, collectors will be able to place pre-orders through Authentic Collectables stockists, while those looking to purchase directly from us will also be able to register their interest on our website to be notified when models become available - so stay tuned for further announcements.
If development continues to progress as planned, we’re aiming to see the first Authentic Collectables 1:18 Scale Toyota GR Supra Gen3 Supercar models begin arriving in collectors’ hands around the middle of 2027.
We can also confirm that development of our 1:43 Scale Toyota GR Supra Gen3 Supercar is underway. This version is scheduled to be produced in high-detail die-cast with a sealed body, clear windows and detailed interior.
There’s still plenty of work ahead, but reaching the hand-sample stage is an exciting milestone and we’re looking forward to sharing more of the development journey with collectors as the Supra range comes to life.
Stay tuned for further updates and, as always, thank you for your continued support of Authentic Collectables.
